"I paid for a 3 bed room and got a double with an additional small bed in an airless entrance area. It was so small the entrance door only opened half way. I went to discuss this with reception and all I got was a push off from the male clerk at the desk. Expedia's help desk were great in calling the hotel and getting me additional room at a reduced price (not free but it should have been). Thank you Expedia. Hotel staff were rubbish. The condition of the doors locks and general maintencenwas...

"This is a tent camp 15 minutes outside of Zagora. The location on Expedia is wrong; you need to go to the listed address which is in a small alley. When you get there, they will try to upsell you on camel rides or dinner. Make sure to agree on the dinner price because you might be stuck once you get to camp. The tents are very nice with comfortable beds, hot showers and a flushing toilet. The dining tent is heated. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Just make sure to negotiate prices...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bni Zoli?
For those seeking a luxurious and expansive desert experience, the best area to stay in Bni Zoli is at one of the upscale desert camps located within the Erg Chigaga dunes.

These camps are located deep within the Sahara, offering a truly secluded and exclusive stay. They are typically set up with spacious tents, often featuring private bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. The camps are designed to provide a high level of service, with meals and activities like camel treks and stargazing included.

Couples often find these desert camps superb for a romantic escape. The quiet, vast landscape provides an intimate setting, and the focus on personalised service ensures a memorable trip.
When is the best time to go to Bni Zoli?
The best time to visit Bni Zoli is during the shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is most pleasant.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is ideal for exploring the desert landscapes and outdoor activities. You'll find the days sunny and clear, great for camel treks, stargazing, and visiting the kasbahs without the intense heat of summer or the cooler nights of winter.

For those who enjoy outdoor adventures and cultural exploration, these periods offer the best conditions. The milder weather makes activities like hiking in the Atlas Mountains or exploring the Draa Valley much more enjoyable.
